Illustration Cancer & Environnement pour annoncer la conférence

As part of the National Cancer Awareness Week, SIRIC ILIAD, Cancéropôle Grand Ouest, and the Université Permanente are organizing a public conference on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 2:30 PM on the topic “Cancer & Environment”.

According to Santé Publique France, environmental factors may play a role in 5 to 10% of cancers. This is a major public health issue, and the link between cancer and the environment is the subject of extensive research aimed at better understanding the carcinogenic risk of certain exposures and their impact on our bodies.

Three speakers, researchers and doctors Michel Samson, Marc Fadel, and Pierre-François Cartron, will be present to share insights on research perspectives related to the following topics:

  • What are the links between the exposome and cancers?
  • From research to patient care…
  • Cancer, environment, and epigenetics: reason and emotion.
