“Return to work after cancer” seminar | 19 November 2021
How to improve the return to work after cancer? This year, the SHS network of the Cancéropôle Grand-Ouest and the SIRIC ILIAD organised an online seminar dedicated to the return to work after cancer, on 19 November.
Every day, 1,000 people learn that they have cancer. Among them, 400 work, which makes the question of returning to work or staying at work a major societal issue.
The Cancéropole Grand Ouest (CGO) and the SIRIC ILIAD are both structures focused on cancer research and have a common theme: return to work. In view of their common theme, the SIRIC ILIAD and the SHS network of the CGO wanted to work together on the organisation of a seminar on “Return to work after cancer”.
Led by Bertrand Porro (Head of the CGO’s SHS network and researcher at SIRIC ILIAD), this seminar brought together nearly 50 people from all over France: researchers, doctors, associations, expert patients, human resources departments, etc., to discuss the issues involved.
