Video : ReWork a research programme to facilitate return to work
The SIRIC ILIAD Nantes-Angers (Integrated Cancer Research Site) was certified in December 2017, and since then has been developing 3 research programmes on breast cancer and multiple myeloma. One programme in particular, the ReWork-QoL programme, is dedicated to return to work after cancer and quality of life. One of its objectives is to predict and evaluate the return to work after therapy, in order to facilitate professional reintegration.
n March 2021, this programme was at the origin of the signature of the “Cancer and Employment” charter of the French National Cancer Institute (INCa) by the three founding establishments of the SIRIC ILIAD: the CHU of Angers, the ICO and the CHU of Nantes; in the presence of the president of INCa, Prof. Norbert Ifrah and the director of the ARS Pays de la Loire, Mr Coiplet.
Following this commitment, SIRIC ILIAD’s partner patient organisations, AF3M (for multiple myeloma) and Europa Donna (for breast cancer) wished to present the ReWork-Qol programme to cancer patients.
We are pleased to share with you this video on the ReWork programme, presented by Prof. Philippe Moreau, director of the SIRIC ILIAD, and Prof. Yves Roquelaure, head of the programme, illustrated by the testimonies of David and Fabienne, two patients who were confronted with the challenge of returning to work following their cancer:
